Austin Grammer to Transfer to West Alabama

LIVINGSTON - Former Middle Tennessee State and American Christian Academy quarterback Austin Grammer has signed a scholarship and will transfer to the University of West Alabama to finish his collegiate football career.

Grammer has played in 35 games as a quarterback or receiver for the Blue Raiders over the last three seasons, including the Popeye's Bahamas Bowl on Christmas Eve where he caught one pass for nine yards.

The Tuscaloosa product started all 12 games at quarterback for the Blue Raiders in 2014 and finished the season by completing 221 of 338 passes for 2,557 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also rushed for 442 yards and six TDs while ranking 17th nationally in completion percentage at 65.4.

As a redshirt freshman in 2013 Grammer played in 10 games, completing 21 of 46 passes for 190 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 169 yards and two scores. …
