WITH Rochdale's Boxing Day fixture against Crewe postponed due to the weather, today's trip to Scunthorpe marks the halfway point in the season for Keith Hill's men.

Dale may have found consistency hard to come by in recent weeks but after a bright start they are on track to equal - or surpass - the number of points accumulated after the same number of games played this time last season.

To achieve that they will have to beat a mid-table Scunthorpe side which has failed to live up to pre-season expectations.

"It has been an up and down season up until this point but we're still on track and not far off the points tally last season so it's an incentive," said defender Jim McNulty.

"I think if we are to achieve that then we've done very well considering the players that the team have lost from last year. …
