Q&A: Comic Looks on as Ferrell as Wahlberg Fight in 'Daddy's Home'

Hannibal Buress is a comedian on the rise. You may know him from his role on the Comedy Central sitcom "Broad City," in which he plays Lincoln Rice, the dentist boyfriend of freewheeling bohemian Ilana Wexler (Ilana Glazer).

Buress, a Chicago native who attended SIU-Carbondale, also made the news for a standup routine that helped reignite interest in the sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby.

In the new film, "Daddy's Home," Buress plays Griff, a handyman who's a flippant bystander to the crazy rivalry between stepdad Brad (Will Ferrell) and biological dad Dusty (Mark Wahlberg).

In a recent interview, he talked about his career and the new role.

How did you become involved in "Daddy's Home"? I think they might have been in a crunch (laughter), because I got hit up maybe two weeks before filming began. …
