Chapman Man Linked to Multiple Hotel Robberies in Salina, Junction City

A Chapman man sought in connection with hotel robberies in both Salina and Junction City has been booked into the Dickinson County Jail, authorities said Wednesday.

The Salina Journal reported Travis R. Moreland, 23, was arrested after a short chase Sunday by Abilene police investigating an incident in which the driver of a car that transported Moreland from Salina to Abilene was allegedly beaten before Moreland took the car.

Moreland was arrested on a Saline County warrant that included three counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated burglary. He was booked into the Dickinson County Jail in connection with auto theft, as well as drug paraphernalia found in the car and criminal possession of a firearm.
