Lions Laud Coloring Contest Winners

The Kanawha City Lions Club has announced the winners of its coloring contest held in November during the club's yearly Art and Crafts Show in Charleston. The contest was conducted for and open to children at the show, to allow their parents to browse and shop freely during the event.

According to the contest's chairman, Jim Slamick, more than 120 children participated. He also thanked members of the Capital High School Junior ROTC, who helped attend the tables as the youths colored their entries.

Retired teacher Elizabeth Hall judged the entries. Winners in each age category received Charleston Town Center gift cards with values of $25, $15 or $10 for first-, second- and third-place entries, respectively.

Coloring contest winners were:

Ages 2 to 6:
