Wonderful Panto Ditty Pulls out All the Stops! ; All 93 Tram Stations Namechecked in Breathless Stage Tune Rattled out in Mother Goose.

iT'S provoked shouting and the occasional swearword, but Manchester's Metrolink system now has it's own Pantomime song which namechecks every one of its stops.

The two-minute ditty appears in the production of Mother Goose at the Oldham Coliseum and celebrates the highs and lows of travel along the region's tram network.

The tongue-twisting number - dubbed The Tram Song - has proved a huge hit with audiences and includes the names of all 93 stops on the Metrolink.

It was written by the pantomime's musical director Dave Bintley, and is sung by Simeon Truby, who plays passionate tram-spotter Squire Grabbit in Mother Goose. A video of his number has proved popular on social media, with 1,000 views on the Coliseum's Facebook page within 24 hours, retweets - including the official Twitter feed for Transport For Greater Manchester - and more than 600 views on Youtube. …
