Pellegrini - We Do Not Have the Away Day Blues

MANUEL Pellegrini has defended City's Premier League run of six away games without a win, saying they only played badly in one-and- a-half of those matches.

The Blues have not chalked up a victory on their travels since the last-gasp triumph at Crystal Palace on September 12, with defeats at Tottenham, Stoke and Arsenal - along with goalless draws at United, Aston Villa and Leicester.

But Pellegrini says City actually only played badly for the entirety of the 2-0 debacle at the Britannia Stadium, and the second half at Spurs.

And that is why he denied the Blues, with just two away goals in that miserable spell, have a mental block on their travels.

"I don't think it's psychological," he said ahead of today's trip to Watford. "You have to see every game why we didn't win. Against Tottenham we played very well in the first half. …
