- HE might have received a blackout on the return of dating show Take Me Out, but video marketing boss Nik Maguire has won plenty of fans on Twitter after his brief but memorable TV appearance on Saturday night.

The Manchester socialite, known in Manchester as Mr Deansgate, also won support from show host Paddy McGuinness for his quick-fire answers as he faced a panel of single women aiming to find a date.

Nik failed to win a date on the show - receiving 'no likeys' from the singles who quizzed him - and he got the first blackout of the eighth series.

Phoenix Nights funnyman Paddy, from, Bolton, watched along with viewers at home and tweeted his support for Nik.

He tweeted: "Noooooooooooooooo!!! First blackout of the series. Loved Nick. #takemeout" Paddy waded in to help out Nik on the show when the panellists offered some eyebrowraising comments during their questioning. …
