Position: Top Title odds: 11-8 AFTER 12 years of waiting this could finally be Arsenal's Premier League moment.

One of the most open title races for years is unfolding and the Gunners have emerged as the leading contenders for many.

Arsene Wenger's side appeared to have missed a big opportunity in the summer when they failed to strengthen properly.

Petr Cech was a good acquisition, but Wenger failed to buy a single outfield player and his team looked short of numbers up front.

But Theo Walcott, considered as a striker these days rather than a winger, has stepped up. Olivier Giroud has delivered too.

Defensive midfield was another area of concern and remains one after Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin picked up bad knee injuries, while Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta continued to struggle for fitness.

There have been woes in other areas too - it wouldn't be a Premier League season without an Arsenal injury crisis.
