SALFORD CITY came from a goal down to earn a valuable 1-1 draw at Nantwich Town last night.

The two sides are joint-second in the Evo-Stik Premier table and Matt Bell put the hosts ahead in a first half that Nantwich dominated.

But Gary Stopforth's first goal this season drew the Ammies level early in the second half.

And despite a number of good openings, including an end-to-end last 10 minutes, neither side could find a winner, which leaves them within four points of leaders Blyth Spartans.

The Dabbers went close in the first half with former Salford winger Josh Hancock, Liam Shotton and Matty Kosylo all missing the target.

But Kosylo was the innovator for the goal on the half-hour mark, when he set up a Nantwich counterattack from which Bell converted after the Ammies failed to clear their lines. …
