Keane Return Will Boost Van Gaal's Strike Options

UNITED insist returning loanee Will Keane will be in their first- team plans.

The 22-year-old was brought back from Preston last week, with the decision being made to cut short his seasonlong loan.

Simon Grayson suggested that United wanted an extra body in their squad, although there was no room for Keane in Louis van Gaal's matchday selection on Saturday.

He was back in the Under-21 side on Monday night, playing an unremarkable 85 minutes as United claimed a 3-1 win over Tottenham.

But the intention appears to be for Keane to play a part for the first team for the rest of the season.

"I think that's the idea of him coming back from Preston," said coach Tommy Martin, "that hopefully he'll be involved with the first team more than the Under-21s."

Keane could be in contention for the FA Cup this weekend. …
