Beer Clubs to Show off Ales at Festival

THE Manchester Beer And Cider Festival has given two home brew clubs the chance to showcase their ales to the 13,000 expected to attend the show.

The festival, organised by CAMRA, is gearing up for its first year in its new home of Manchester Central from January 20-23, following a move from Manchester Velodrome.

It will feature a choice of more than 500 beers, ciders and perries across a range of bars - including ales from two amateur clubs.

Chorlton Home Brewers, who normally meet at The Font in Chorlton, have teamed up with Beer Nouveua brewery to create a pale ale which will be on Bar 1 at the festival.

Torrside Brewery in New Mills will be the host for the Manchester Home Brew club tomorrow, which normally meets at The Beermoth in Manchester's Northern Quarter, is working with Torrside Brewery in New Mills on an English IPA which will feature on Bar 3. …
