Sports Briefs: Warriors' Curry Misses Second Straight Game

WARRIORS' CURRY MISSES SECOND STRAIGHT GAME: Golden State's Stephen Curry was out for the second straight game Thursday night against Houston with a bruised lower left leg.

Curry was injured Monday night against Sacramento and sat out Wednesday night at Dallas when the Warriors lost for just the second time this season, 114-91 to the Mavericks.

Interim coach Luke Walton said Curry was feeling better Thursday, but that he was not ready to play. Before he sat out Wednesday, last season's MVP hadn't missed a game since March 13.

SPURS' DUNCAN TO PLAY SATURDAY: Tim Duncan will play Saturday when San Antonio hosts the Houston Rockets after missing the previous three games.

The team made the announcement on Thursday. Duncan sat out San Antonio's win Monday against Minnesota for rest, but missed the next two home games because of soreness in his right knee. …
