Daley says he won't run again for state House

State Rep. Pete Daley, D-California, announced Thursday that he will not seek another term representing parts of Fayette and Washington counties.

Mr. Daley has been a member of the state House of Representatives since 1983. He won election after serving as mayor of California Borough.

In a statement, Mr. Daley said: "It has been my great honor and privilege to represent the outstanding people of the Mon Valley and Fayette County for the last three-and-a-half decades."

His office says that Mr. Daley led the charge for legislation in 1983 that created the state's Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly.

Mr. Daley is the ranking Democrat on the Consumer Affairs Committee. …
