Paul W. Bryant Boys Roll Past Central

COTTONDALE -- The Paul W. Bryant boys basketball team avenged an earlier season loss to Central with a 68-42 victory over its rival in front of a large home crowd on Friday night.

"It's a great rivalry," Stampede coach Shon Peck-Love said. "One of our best rivalries is Central. They are a great team and they have a great coaching staff."

It was in the final minutes of the win that the Paul W. Bryant fans were the loudest. Senior Myles Anthony entered the game and scored five points. When Anthony hit a 3-point shot, the crowd erupted.

"They love Myles," Peck-Love said. "Myles has a lot of heritage. His brother played for me a couple of years ago, and he is playing for me now. He's a great kid, and I'm trying to get more opportunities to get him the floor."

The entire team contributed to the Stampede's victory, with three players scoring in the double digits. …
