SALFORD CITY continued their fine form in the Evo-Stik Premier with a 4-0 win over Skelmersdale.

John Johnston scored twice on his home debut, either side of a James Poole strike, with Jordan Hulme adding another shortly after half-time.

That made it 13 points from a possible 15 for the Ammies, who went three points clear in second place as Nantwich lost at Rushall Olympic.

Joint-managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley started with the 11 that finished the 1-1 draw at Nantwich.

And that decision paid dividends as early as the fifth minute as Johnson slotted past ex-Salford keeper Martin Fearon.
