It's a Case of Hit and Miss for Storm Troopers

MANCHESTER Storm had a hit and miss weekend in their latest Elite League matches.

First Omar Pacha's side picked up a 6-4 victory at Fife Flyers on Saturday, but they followed that up with a 5-2 defeat to Braehead Clan last night.

Saturday's match saw Storm take the lead on two occasions during the first period thanks to Vinny Scarsella and Grant Toulmin, but Fife hit back with equalisers on both occasions.

The second period was just as actionpacked, with Toulmin scoring two more goals to complete his hat-trick.

Fife managed to get the score to 4-4, but Paul Phillips struck for Storm to make it 5-4 at the end of the second period.

Phillips then ensured victory for the Manchester men when he scored again in the dying seconds.

Sunday's match against Braehead began with Storm dictating the opening proceedings, but they couldn't make their dominance count and Braehead opened the scoring. …
