Article excerpt

A CARJACKER posing as a buyer held a driver at gun-point before stealing his Mini Cooper.

The victim tried to stop the thief by hanging onto the car but suffered cuts and bruises when he was dragged along the road.

The incident happened after the victim had agreed to meet a man he thought was interested in buying his Mini.

The robber climbed into the driver's seat and began to move off towards Newton Heath. But the owner grabbed the car's nearside.

Police say he was dragged along the road 'a short distance'. He was taken to Royal Oldham Hospital for treatment to cuts and bruises.
