Silkmen Are Now Primed for Lift-Off, Says Chairman

MACCLESFIELD Town chariman Mark Blower believes his team are more than capable of securing promotion from the National League thanks to their transfer activity this month.

The Silkmen have brought in a number of players on loan over the past week, including Rhys Turner, Adam Ansoh and Louis Robles. David Fitzpatrick and Shwan Jalal have both signed new contracts with the Silkmen too, while Tony Diagne has extended his loan from Lincoln City.

Midfielder Danny Whitehead has signed for Wigan, but Macc won't be losing him yet as he will remain with the club for the rest of the season.

With all that in mind, Blower doesn't see any reason why his team can't book a return to League Two next season.
