Wine Finds: The Red Blend Trend

Red wine blends continue to be the one of the fastest-growing wine categories in the United States, according to the Nielsen Co. A November 2015 Nielsen report said these blends are like "the craft beer of the wine category. They're hip, different and trending." Although there are assorted reasons driving these purchases, 50 percent of consumers responding to a Nielsen survey said they believed blends were a "great way to experiment with wine." Below are two very good California blends that combine a number of grape varieties.
