BGT Winner George Heads for Emmerdale ; THE DIARY the Inside Stories with All

BRITAIN'S Got Talent winner George Sampson is joining the cast of Emmerdale.

The 22-year-old street dancer and actor, who perfected his breakdance routines in Manchester city centre, is excited to land a guest role in the rural ITV1 soap.

He will appear in four episodes and will be seen on screen at the end of February.

George said: "I'm really excited to play a guest part in Emmerdale.

"The cast and crew have been really friendly and the village is a spectacular place to be. It's such an iconic show and it's brilliant to be able to be a part of it".

George shot to fame at the age of 14 when he won the second series of the Simon Cowell-fronted talent show Britain's Got Talent with a remix of the classic song Singin' in the Rain.

He also starred in the Rochdale-based BBC1 school drama Waterloo Road as Kyle Stack and he played Gary in the Manchester-based Mount Pleasant until 2014. …
