Jim Seals Hat-Trick with Latest Return to Hatters

JIM Gannon has sensationally returned to Stockport County for a third stint in charge of the National League North side. The 47- year-old will be in the hotseat for Saturday's trip to Gloucester in the league, after leaving Northwich Victoria to once again link up with The Hatters.

Southwark-born Gannon replaces former boss Neil Young, who resigned from his position at Edgeley Park last week after a run of just one win in 12 games.

Gannon is a County legend, after making more than 350 appearances for the club as a player in the 1990s followed by a successful managerial stint in which he saved the club from relegation into non- league football in 2006 - before guiding a young Hatters side to a Wembley League Two play-off promotion in 2008.

The Irishman left in 2009 after being made redundant by club administrators as the then-League One club hit financial troubles, having taken County from the bottom of League Two to the play-off places of England's third division, above the likes of Leeds United. …
