South Allegheny School District Superintendent Wayne P. Gdovic has been selected as the recipient of the 2011 Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators Award of Achievement for Leadership in Public Education.

The award recognizes a school administrator who has demonstrated commitment to administration and a commitment to public education.

This honor was based on the letter of nomination by South Allegheny Assistant Superintendent Richard Fine, which pointed to Mr. Gdovic's commitment to public education as evidenced through participation in a rally in Harrisburg at the Capitol, leadership that led to increased PSSA achievement in the South Allegheny Middle School, and his willingness to serve as a presenter at the annual conference in Hershey. …
