Shock Top to Share Spotlight in A-B's Return to Super Bowl

Budweiser and Bud Light ads are once again part of the lineup in the upcoming Super Bowl, but the top brands will share the limelight with others in the Anheuser-Busch portfolio: Shock Top and Michelob Ultra.

Anheuser-Busch, the St. Louis-based unit of A-B InBev, bought three minutes of airtime during the Super Bowl on Feb. 7, including the first spot immediately following kickoff, the company said Friday. Last year, the world's largest brewer bought 3 minutes of airtime.

Shock Top is making its debut in the big game, and Michelob Ultra is returning after a six-year absence.

"People have come to expect groundbreaking creative from our brands during the Super Bowl, and this year is no exception," Jorn Socquet, A-B's vice president of U.S. marketing, said in a statement. …
