H.AS if by magic illusionists from the West End spectacular Impossible appeared at the M.E.N. offices to wow us with their trickery.

Ben Hart, Richard Essien and Jonathan Goodwin will star in the spectacular, dubbed the most dangerous show the London theatre district has ever seen, when it heads to Manchester in March.

Impossible, featuring death-defying stunts, trickery, grand- scale illusions and magic, arrives at the Palace Theatre as part of its inaugural tour fresh from its groundbreaking run in the West End.

And we were given a taste of what to expect from the show.

Escapologist and dangerman Jonathan Goodwin, from Las Vegas, performs a trick during which he hangs upside in a strait-jacket while on fire. In another nail-biting stunt he catches a crossbow fired at his chest.

And Jonathan wowed us by placing a large wriggling Asian emperor scorpion in his mouth. …
