Man Arrested in Human Trafficking Case Makes First Appearance

Suspect's bond set at $100K

Bond was set Wednesday at $100,000 for a 26-year-old man arrested in connection with aggravated human trafficking and a series of felony offenses.

Anthony Samuel Long, who lists himself as homeless, was booked into Shawnee County Jail at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday, jail records said.

Long was booked into jail on 11 offenses, but during his first appearance hearing, Shawnee County District Judge William Ossmann found probable cause didn't exist to hold Long on five of the counts.

Long is in jail in connection with an aggravated human trafficking charge and contributing to a child's misconduct, indecent solicitation of a child, aggravated intimidation of a witness, probation violation of a felony conviction, and making criminal threats. …
