Pti Wins Service Award for Annual Santa Project

The Pennsylvania Association of Private School Administrators has selected Pittsburgh Technical Institute's Santa Project for its Community Service Award.

The administrators' group represents more than 320 private career schools in the state.

The award recognizes the efforts of 57 PTI students who contributed to the Santa Project by providing holiday gifts for residents of The Bradley Center youth home, residents of Mariner of West Hills, a nursing home, Veterans Administration hospital patients and low-income families in the North Fayette and Fort Cherry school districts.

The Santa Project is funded in part by an annual contribution from PTI. Students generate additional financial support with The Giving Tree, an artificial tree with ornaments that can be purchased to raise money for purchasing gifts and wrapping supplies.
