ST. LOUIS * A 14-year-old boy has been charged with second- degree murder in the fatal shooting of teenager Jamyha Luss in a home in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood on Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the suspect was arrested and turned over to juvenile authorities after surrendering himself on Monday. A court spokesman confirmed that the boy has since been charged with second- degree murder but said authorities are not releasing his name because he is a juvenile.

A hearing to certify him as an adult would be required to prosecute him in state court.

No further details about him were available.

Jamyha, 14, was found fatally shot in the back at a friend's house in the 5300 block of Patton Avenue, near Martin Luther King Drive and Union Boulevard. Two boys one of whom had a gun who had been visiting earlier that day fled before police arrived. …
