Sports Briefs: Chiefs Move Childress to Offensive Coordinator

CHIEFS MOVE CHILDRESS TO OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR: A day after coach Andy Reid said the new offensive coordinator was already in the house, the Chiefs are apparently staying the course.

Spread game analyst/special projects coach Brad Childress is being elevated to offensive coordinator, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported Monday.

The Chiefs have yet to confirm or officially announce the move.

Barring word from the Chiefs, Childress will take the position vacated by Doug Pederson, who was named the Philadelphia Eagles head coach Monday.
