BOLTON have obtained a validation order in the High Court that paves the way for a key car park at the Macron Stadium to be sold as the crisis club look to raise some much-needed funds.

Wanderers' accounts were frozen when HM Revenue and Customs served them with a winding-up petition over Pounds 2.2m of unpaid tax and their first trip to the High Court this week resulted in a five-week adjournment on Monday.

But at another hearing yesterday, Bolton asked to buy a section of land next to a car park that they now plan to sell as part of a larger deal to the owners of the Middlebook Retail Park.

That validation order was granted and Bolton, who host MK Dons today, also confirmed plans are afoot to push through payment to staff after their salaries were not paid on time on Thursday. …
