Tributes as Van Horror Gran Loses Her Fight for Life

THE family of a gran fatally injured by a van while walking home from work have paid an emotional tribute to her.

Hospital cleaner Janice De'Botte, 57, was crossing the busy Princess Parkway dual carriageway near her home in West Didsbury when she and a friend were struck by a Vauxhall Vivaro van on Saturday, January 16.

Janice and her 70-yearold friend were left fighting for their lives after the horrific crash - but despite efforts to save her, the popular gran sadly died. Her friend remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Janice's family said: "Janice came from a very large family and was a loving mum, partner, nana, sister, aunty and cousin. She also had a large circle of friends and was a popular neighbour." Janice - known to colleagues as Angela - worked as a cleaner at Wythenshawe Hospital and at a local care home. …
