Wesling, Fred Williampassed away, Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Born September 2, 1940 in St. Louis, MO. Beloved husband of Linda Wesling; father of Elizabeth (Neil) McCloskey, Nathan (Aya) Wesling, Kris Wesling, and Nikki (Kyle) Fizer; grandfather of 8. Survived by twin brother Frank Wesling, older sister Barb McDonald and younger brother John Wesling. Fred studied with the Brothers of Mary from 1956 to 1959. He served in the U.S. Navy where he participated in the blockade during the Cuban Missile Crisis and a good will cruise to Africa. Fred was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1 for 45 years. An avid gardener throughout his life, Fred was known for his crisp small-kerneled corn. In his retirement, Fred enjoyed foraging pecans by the bucketful with his wife, children and friends and then cracking them with his vintage Daisy nutcrackers. …
