Englewood Cliffs Creates a Panel to Aid Recreation

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS -- The mayor and council have formed the borough's first Recreation Advisory Board to help oversee improvements in the municipality's recreational offerings.
Residents William Woo, Anthony Senatore, Sanket Shah, Prashant Prajapati, Beatriz Zenizo-Macias, Vivianna Russotti and Kyungseon Cho were all nominated to the board, and Daniel Cassotta and LeAnn Vergona were nominated as alternates.
The council's action took place at its Jan. 13 meeting. Councilwoman Carrol McMorrow said the board was created in response to deficiencies in the youth basketball program and the lack of a winter soccer program.
During December, the Recreation Department had only a girls' basketball program, which played in Fort Lee, but lacked a boys' basketball program. …
