Exec to Lead Wells Fargo in Paramus

Wells Fargo named a former Bank of America executive to lead a new commercial banking office in Paramus, the company said Tuesday.

The San Francisco-based bank said its fifth commercial banking office in the state will open in Bergen County before the end of March, as was first reported in September.

The company said Rick DeBel, a former senior vice president at Bank of America who joined Wells Fargo last year, will head the office.

DeBel began his banking career in 1983 with the now-defunct Suburban Savings and Loan Association in Wayne, and has worked in commercial lending since 1985, holding various positions with Bank of America and its New Jersey predecessors, which include Fleet Bank and Summit Bank.

He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from William Paterson College in Wayne, and he is vice chair of the Tri-County Scholarship Fund board. …
