Tesco to Scrap Birthday Card Which Sparked 'Sexism' Claim ; ?Superstore Accused of 'Living in the Dark Ages' for Stocking Item with 'Offensive' Message

UPERMARKET giant Tesco is removing a birthday card from its Sshelves after a shopper accused them of 'living in the dark ages'.

The angry customer said she was offended by the card's message, which jokes about women flaunting their looks.

The front cover carries the words: "To a Fab Sister.

Remember, inner beauty...won't get you free drinks!" She branded the supermarket 'morons' on Twit-ter and said the item sent out the wrong message.

Tesco have now agreed to 'phase out' the card from their stores.

The complaint first came after the woman, who later asked not to be named, read the card in Tesco in Horwich, Bolton.

She tweeted the company saying: "Found this on a shelf in your store... nice to see how you view women! …
