TYSON FURY has been warned over his future conduct by the boxing authorities after making alleged sexist and homophobic comments.

The 27-year-old Wilmslow-born fighter was crowned world heavyweight champion after a win over Wladimir Klitschko in Germany in November.

However, he caused outrage with a series of comments before and after the bout.

They included comparing homosexuality and abortion to paedophilia.

As a result, thousands of people signed a petition urging the BBC to remove him from the shortlist for the Sports Personality of the Year.

He was even reported to the police for an alleged 'hate crime', but no further action was taken.

The British Boxing Board of Control, which oversees the sport in this country, launched their own investigation and interviewed the 26-year-old on Tuesday.
