Second-Half Dominance Leads TCHS Girls Past Bryant

The Tuscaloosa County High School girls basketball team was up by only three points at halftime, but dominated in the second half to defeat Paul W. Bryant on Thursday night, 55-45.

Tamia Knight ran for an open basket on multiple occasions as she scored 29 points for the Wildcats. Knight also had eight steals and six rebounds.

"When we attack the zone we try to flush people through and make good passes off to the side, and I thought we did a really good job of that, especially to Tamia," TCHS coach Jacob Haas said.

Katie Krout finished with 10 points, all in the third period, to put the Wildcats up, 43-25, going into the final eight minutes. Krout also had four rebounds.

"I think we are playing good initial defense but we have to block out better as a team," Haas said. "It's been our weakness the past few games and we are giving up way too many offensive rebounds. …
