#FeedMe! Project SEED (Something to Eat Every Day) was chosen to be the beneficiary of this year's Women's Board of Pittsburgh Luncheon, "Plant the SEED of Hope," at the Fox Chapel Golf Club Friday. SEED was founded by Joanne Cecchi and Ruth Carson who wanted to make sure schoolchildren had something to eat on the weekends. They have identified 300 children in the New Kensington-Arnold School District who went hungry out of school. The retired educators put nonperishable easy-to-eat food in the child-ren's backpacks on Friday afternoons. It is one step toward eliminating childhood hunger. The sold-out event was chaired by Laura Dawson with co-chairs Linda Ban and Loraine Murphey. WTAE-TV's Ryan Recker emceed the afternoon event.

#Yum: The luncheon featured the club's executive chef, Chris Brown, who demonstrated how to create roasted butternut squash chocolate ravioli with lobster basil cream sauce. …
