It seems as though Erik Wemple of The Washington Post doesn't want anyone to see the new"13 Hours" movie ("Fox News' Favorite Movie," Jan. 24 Perspectives), simply because Fox News is lauding it in order to discredit Hillary Clinton. As far as I can tell, Mr. Wemple has neither read the book nor seen the movie, and since I have done both, I would like to contradict him.

The book seems to be a very realistic picture, with footnotes, corroboration and maps as to what transpired at the Benghazi consulate and annex, as narrated by contractors who were there. The Global Response Staff contractors, all former Marines or special forces, were hired by the CIA to protect the ambassador, the consulate and the staffers. These men wanted to tell the story of what actually happened on the ground and testify to the bravery and heroism of the other three men who died trying to rescue the ambassador and his staff. …
