Man Had 36 Stolen Credit Cards, Cops Say

TEANECK - Police on Wednesday announced the arrest of a Brooklyn man for allegedly using stolen and fraudulent credit cards.

Additional charges also may be filed against the man, Rahshawn Mayo, 26, as detectives continue to work with financial institutions to find more victims in the case, Teaneck Police Chief Robert Carney said in a news release.

Mayo was arrested after being stopped on Jan. 16 for "several motor vehicle violations" while driving east on Route 4, Carney said.

Mayo told the officers who pulled him over, Detective Sgt. Seth Kriegel and Detective Edward Kazmierczak, that he was returning from upstate New York where he had gone to pay a ticket. The detectives saw a bag in the vehicle that had several new Apple iPods in it, and Mayo said he recently purchased them for family members, Carney said. …
