Doctor Faces Charges of Double Billing

A Wyckoff cardiologist has been indicted for allegedly double- billing insurance companies for more than $600,000, the state Attorney General's Office said.

Dr. Roger Coletti, 69, is charged with nine counts of health care claims fraud. He is accused of billing Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey and UnitedHealthcare Inc. fraudulently over eight months, beginning in December 2010, acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman said in a statement.

Coletti also is charged with one count each of insurance fraud and attempted theft by deception. He is accused of filing fraudulent claims to Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, UnitedHealthcare Inc. and Aetna Insurance Co. between April 2006 and October 2011.

Coletti is charged with double-billing through two or more of the three health-care entities he owned on Sears Drive in Paramus: North American Diagnostics, Interventional Cardiovascular Associates and Bergen Medical Images. …
