Constitution Pipeline Receives FERC Authorization

TULSA - Constitution Pipeline Co. received authorization from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to proceed with limited tree removal activities along its federally certificated pipeline right of way in Pennsylvania.

The pipeline is designed to transport enough natural gas to serve approximately 3 million U.S. homes.

Constitution Pipeline Co. is owned by subsidiaries of Tulsa- based Williams Partners, Houston-based Cabot Oil & Gas Corp., Charlotte, North Carolina-based Piedmont Natural Gas Co. and WGL Holdings, based in Washington, D.C.

The 125-mile pipeline project is proposed to connect domestic natural gas production in northeastern Pennsylvania with Northeastern markets during the fourth quarter.

Approximately one-quarter of the trees planned to be removed are in Pennsylvania, while the remaining trees are located in New York. …
