- UNITED fans will gather outside Old Trafford today to commemorate the 58th anniversary of the Munich air disaster.
Supporters will pay their respects beneath the Munich clock, where they will sing 'The Flowers of Manchester' in tribute to the 23 victims who died on February 6, 1958.
Eight of Sir Matt Busby's Babes were killed in the disaster which decimated United. The club had won successive league titles and were returning from securing their semi-final spot in the European Cup, having drawn their last-eight second-leg encounter with Red Star Belgrade.
United fan Gez Mason began the tradition in 2000 and it is now organised by South Stand season-ticket holder Pete Martin, from Rawtenstall.
