SARASOTA -- The Riverview High boys basketball team continued to fine-tune its game for the district tournament with a 50-37 victory over Cape Coral Mariner on Tuesday night.

Junior guard Brion Whitley led the Rams with 22 points. Junior guard AJ Caldwell scored 12 points in the victory.

Isaiah Derrett led Cape Coral Mariner (20-2) with 12 points.

Riverview (21-2) will host Braden River on Thursday at 7:30 p.m for its Senior Night.

PORT CHARLOTTE -- Junior Sean Price scored a game-high 25 points and senior Matt Washington finished in double figures with 14 points for the Pirates.

Zach Babut (14) and Brandon Graff (10) led the way for the Bobcats.

Port Charlotte (19-3) closes out its regular season schedule hosting DeSoto County on Thursday night.

The Pirates, undefeated at home this season, will be the top seed in next week's Class 6A-District 10 tournament.

LAKELAND -- Andrew Berg had 21 points to lead Out-of-Door Academy, but it was not enough to prevent a loss to Victory Christian Academy.

Nate Patrick had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds and teammate Chase Maasdorp scored 18.

ODA (13-9) will play its final home game against Braden River on Friday.

VENICE -- Trent Holloway led the Indians to a victory over Manatee by scoring 18 points, all on six baskets from beyond the 3- point arc. The Indians, as a team, had 17 three pointers.

Dylan Gregoire had 15 points, Mikey Priest 14 and Blake Bennett finished with 12.

Venice (12-12) will travel to Charlotte for its final regular season game Thursday.
