Road closure postponed * The closure of a portion of Beaumont- Antire Road in the High Ridge/Eureka area will be postponed until after Aug. 6, much to the relief of parents who will shuttle Boy Scouts to camp this summer and would have been detoured.

The Missouri Department of Transportation had been set to shut down a one-mile stretch of the road between the Interstate 44 interchange and Bussen Road for up to 45 days, beginning sometime after Memorial Day and ending Aug. 1 before school resumes.

That would have meant a detour for those headed to the popular Beaumont Scout Reservation, which includes Camp Grizzly, Cub World, Camp May and the Nagel Explorer Base.
