CASTLEFIELD Food Festival has announced its return with top Manchester chef Robert Owen Brown back on board.

The former Mark Addy head chef will be joined by some of the region's best restaurants, chefs, street food traders and producers at the four-day event in Castlefield Bowl.

New for this year is a night market, catering to the thousands of people living and working in the neighbourhood and the surrounding city with after-work food, drink and entertainment.

Returning favourites include the demonstration kitchen, hosting star cookery masterclasses throughout the festival, as well as a live music stage with performances from up-and-coming local artists.

More than 15,000 foodies flocked to last year's event, where Robert Owen Brown was joined by the likes of Mike Jennings, from Walkden restaurant Grenache, Claire Kelsey, of Afflecks ice-cream parlour Ginger's Comfort Emporium and David Mooney, of the New Moon Pub Company, which owns Manchester's Beef and Pudding. …
