Genco Moves Its Headquarters to Cranberry for More Space

A former Verizon Wireless call center in Cranberry will become the new headquarters for Genco, a third-party logistics provider in need of more space.

The O'Hara-based company, which was acquired by FedEx last year, announced Monday that it would be leaving its current offices in Papercraft Park in September for the 100,000-square-foot former Verizon space in the Cranberry Woods business park.

In a statement, Genco attributed the move to the growth it has experienced because of trends in supply chain and reverse logistics, a field in which it is an industry leader.

"We have simply outgrown the space," said Andy Smith, Genco's senior vice president and chief operating officer.

He added the company needed a building that could accommodate expansion and help it to attract and retain employees. …
