CAMPBELL HILL * Maybe Breese Central senior center Kendra Wilken should see a chiropractor more often.

The 6-foot-2 standout, after some work on her back in the morning, scored 32 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead the Cougars to a 54-28 win over Sesser-Valier on Monday in the semifinal round of the Class 2A Trico Sectional at Trico High.

Central (26-4), which finished second in the state last season, will face either Carterville or Mater Dei in the sectional final at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Cougars, with the Saint Louis University-bound Wilken leading the way, turned in a near-perfect third quarter in dusting off the Red Devils (22-5).

In a span of 4 minutes and 27 seconds, Wilken scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds to stake her club to a 38-20 lead. At one point, she scored 17 of the Cougars' 19 points. …
