Highland Park High School will use puppets to present the long- running Broadway musical comedy "Avenue Q" at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the auditorium of the school, 2424 S.E. California. "Avenue Q" examines how adults who as children were taught by television shows like "Sesame Street" that they were "special" and "could do anything" learn as adults things are different. Tickets are $8 at the door. The script is the "School Edition," which edits some of the show's more adult content.

The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, JoJo, Mayzie LaBird, Sour Kangaroo and other characters created by Dr. Seuss for his children's books "Horton Hears a Who!", "Horton Hatches the Egg" and "Miss Gertrude McFuzz" will sing and dance in Topeka High School's production of the Broadway musical "Seussical the Musical. …
