Callahan Appointed to A&M Regents

OKLAHOMA CITY - Gov. Mary Fallin has appointed Jarold Callahan to the board of regents for Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges.

He will replace Andy Lester, who resigned after being appointed to the Oklahoma Regents for Higher Education.

Callahan, of Edmond, will join the board on May 17, once Lester's resignation is effective. He will serve the remainder of Lester's term, which expires in 2018, if his appointment is confirmed by the Senate.

Callahan, who was born on a ranch in Welch, has 36 years of executive leadership experience. He is president of Express Ranches, a commercial ranching operation in Yukon. He joined Express in 1996 as chief operations officer.

Callahan spent 15 years as an educator, starting at Northeastern Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College in 1976. …
